I am a Public Relations professional with experience in media placement, social media, event coordination and publicity, press release writing and distribution, photography, and more. I have worked with television, restaurants, food industry, consumer products, non-profit organizations, and fitness establishments. Outside of Public Relations I have personally worked with major organizations such as The Boys & Girls Club and have volunteered over 800 hours to community service projects - from serving at a local soup kitchen to helping build homes for women seeking shelter and even teaching English to children overseas.
My personal downtime consists of experimenting in the kitchen, early morning runs, and weekend cycling. I am a sucker for a good book, a craft beer, and, for my own sanity, can't live more than 2 hours away from an ocean. A wanderlust at heart, I seek to explore and educate myself about the places I not only visit, but also call home, and immerse myself in the surrounding culture.
In February of 2013 I was given the incredible opportunity to be the feature and cover story of Woman's World Magazine. The piece focused on my 100lb weight loss through simply eating healthy and exercising regularly. It has become a personal passion of mine help the fight against childhood obesity as well as help inspire young women during their own healthy lifestyle journeys, and that they can, and will, reach their goals (Bill Clinton, call me). In May 2013 I participated in TD Bank's 5 Boro Bike Tour, cycling roughly 42 miles through all five boroughs of New York City while helping raise over $1,200 for Paul Newman's Hole in The Wall Gang Camp. I plan to continue riding on behalf of this incredible charity.
